Little Smokey Forestry Services was created in 1995 by Mark Lane, already an expert in the industry from his previous experience with other companies.  Since it's inception, Little Smokey has steadily grown in both it's yearly production and reputation for being the best in the industry.  For the past few seasons, our contracts have been above 4 million seedlings per season.

A reputation for efficiency, dependability and versatility have gained us trust in completing contracts that require extensive helicopter use.  Innovative methods with the helicopter, such as our recently developed double hook system, have placed us on the forefront amongst other companies.

The use of GPS technology and Plant Wizard, amongst other technological developments has been a priority for Little Smokey to ensure that we remain on the cutting edge of reforestation. 

Safety is foremost in our minds, as such we have developed a safety manual specific to our jobsite and the conditions applicable to reforestation.  The implementation of this manual is part of our diligent effort to engage in the "Partners in Injury Reduction" program of Alberta.
